Since 1927 Café Werrmann
At first, this was just an ice cream truck with Jakob Werrmann as a young man pulled through the Gülser thrusts and a small kiosk in the Rhine facilities. In addition there was a breakfast room at the Münzplatz, then an ice cream parlor at the Altlöhrtor and finally the first real café in the upper Löhrstraße led by Jakob and Erika Werrmann. After the destruction in World War II and subsequent reconstruction, the Café Werrmann moved in 1954 to the Münzplatz, where it is still today. In 1974, son and pastry chef Harald Werrmann took over the business, followed ten years later wife Birgit with the company. The two carried out several renovations and conversions and expanded the range and the food offers considerably. Since 2013, the Café Werrmann is now under the direction of Bianca Werrmann.
